Leonard的鼻子动了一次小手术，但是需要得到同情和安慰的不是他，而是Sheldon（因为他也进了医院）！与此同时，Raj的父母即将离婚，迫使Howard和Bernadette不得不深入思考他们自己的婚姻问题。

As Sheldon and Amy are playing a game, Sheldon has the word Tesla on his fore head, Leonard and Penny come in with the news that he needs surgery because he has a deviated septum. Sheldon is apalled and doesn’t want Leonard to have the surgery due to the risks. That night Sheldon is staring at Leonard in bed and pleads with him to not go through with it.
Raj is fretting over finding a gift for his parent’s 40th anniversary and is considering the drink coasters with a picture of his face on it like he gave Howard and Bernadette.
The next day Sheldon is at his whiteboard writing down everything that could possibly go wrong with Leonard’s surgery. Leonard tells Sheldon he’ll reconsider.
Raj learns that his parents have just gotten a divorce and his father moved out. Raj is devastated saying that now he comes from a broken home.
Leonard and Penny are in the waiting room getting checked in. Leonard tells Penny that he told Sheldon they were going swimming in the public pool.
Sheldon is eating in Amy’s car and tells Amy that if Leonard was really going swimming, he would have brought his swimming t- shirt. Amy admits that it’s true. Sheldon then demands that he take her to the hospital. Penny is in the waiting room waiting for Leonard to finish with his surgery. Sheldon enters with a teddy bear and a balloon which Amy got him since Sheldon stubbed his toe in a revolving door on the way there. Later the waiting room shakes due to an earthquake which startles Sheldon. Worried about Leonard, he gets up quickly and heads for the door running into the glass on the door and falling to the ground.
Back in the apartment Sheldon and Leonard are in their robes on the couch both with bandages on their nose. Leonard is teasing Sheldon telling him “You wuv me.” They are both talking nasally and Penny is making fun of them.
Howard and Bernadette are in the apartment sitting at the table talking more about marriage. Raj walks in and says that his mom has already started dating someone, but she was probably doing that while she was married.
Finally, Sheldon is unpacking the urn he bought for Leonard, in case the worst happened.
